The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa Nusa Dua, Bali supports 2009 Earth Hour. At 8:30pm (20:30) local time on Saturday March 28th, 2009, towns and cities across the world will turn off their lights for one hour sending a powerful global message on environmental awareness and caring for the planet. The Laguna Resort & Spa, together with other Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide are to participate in the marking of 2009 Earth Hour through a number of activities in the resort to support the success this global initiative.
Lighting at resort will be turned off in areas such as; landscape’s decorative lighting, fountains at the lobby, Cascade Bar & Lounge, Mayang Sari restaurant, VIP check in area and the private venue in the Nusa Bagus Island. At the lobby area, all main lighting will be turned off and replaced by number of natural candles while the computers at the front desk area will be reduced for operation. Ceiling lamps along the corridors and guestrooms’ balconies will not be turned on for safety reasons. Wet area and sauna at Laguna Spa & Villa will also be turned off as will the background music.
